Synopsis
Tom Thomson's legacy looms large in Canadian art. An actor prepares for a role in a feature film inspired by the painter, who died under mysterious circumstances in Algonquin Park in 1917. The actor learns to paint, canoe, and fish while camping in the wilderness. He visits locations that influenced Thomson's work and seeks to understand the events surrounding the artist's death. "Becoming Tom Thomson" won the Outstanding Northern Ontario Short Film Award at Sudbury Cinefest.
