Synopsis
Christofredo Jakob, a German neurobiologist, arrived at the Hospital de las Alienadas in Argentina in 1899 to conduct research on mental health. Over a century later, remnants of his work remain in a semi-abandoned ward of the Hospital Moyano. The space contains preserved brains and heads in formaldehyde, alongside stuffed animals and photographs of former patients. These artifacts reflect a complex history of psychiatric care and scientific inquiry in Argentina.
