Synopsis
In 1975, the Mexican embassy in Montevideo became a refuge for hundreds of Uruguayan citizens fleeing a military dictatorship. During this period, Mexico was the only country to offer shelter to those persecuted by the regime, leading to strained diplomatic relations. Sixteen individuals recount their experiences living in the embassy and the events that precipitated this crisis. The documentary also pays tribute to Vicente Muñoz Arroyo, the Mexican ambassador who played a crucial role in providing sanctuary.
