Synopsis

A sculpture factory located two hundred kilometers from Beijing serves as the setting for a man's reflection on humanity's connection to the environment. Workers break, cut, and polish rocks, engaging in repetitive tasks that embody a history of deterioration and repair. Their labor mirrors the creation of monuments while revealing the fleeting nature of existence, as the wind scatters the remnants of their efforts. The film presents a layered narrative that invites contemplation of these actions and the structures they produce.
