Synopsis
Thirteen-year-old Emika camps on the frozen surface of Saimaa Lake in Finland every school vacation. She enjoys the beauty of winter, finding joy in the cold and snow. Emika and her cousin Antti, who acts as a big brother, explore the nature reserve filled with thousands of islands. They watch woodpeckers in the snowy woods and fish swimming beneath the ice. The starry sky and Northern Lights add to the magic of their winter trips.
