Synopsis
In April 1979, Werner Herzog prepares to eat his shoe at Chez Panisse in Berkeley, California. The event stems from a bet made with filmmaker Errol Morris, who was struggling to complete his documentary Gates of Heaven. Assisted by chef Alice Waters, Herzog cooks the shoe with garlic and herbs for five hours.
