Synopsis
Kuwarddewardde, known as rock country, is located in Arnhem Land, Northern Territory, Australia. The Bininj Nawarddeken have lived there for thousands of years, managing the land with controlled burns to prevent large wildfires. Since British colonization in the late 18th century, their traditional practices have been disrupted. This change has led to the spread of massive wildfires, threatening local ecosystems.
