Synopsis

Lita Albuquerque, an internationally acclaimed artist and writer, reflects on her artistic evolution from a childhood in Tunisia to her pivotal role in the Light and Space movement. Initially aspiring to be a dancer and later a poet, Albuquerque found her true calling in painting at 23. Her ephemeral installations, inspired by the natural landscapes of the Californian desert, explore humanity's relationship with the cosmos. With numerous awards and exhibitions, her work is housed in prestigious collections, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Getty Trust.
