Synopsis

Anna Wexler, a former member of an Orthodox Jewish community in New Jersey, left her family and faith at sixteen, leading to a life on the streets and experimentation with drugs and relationships. After her friends returned to their religious roots following a study program in Israel, Anna felt betrayed and sought to understand their transformation. She follows three rebellious Jewish teenagers as they navigate their own rite of passage from high school to Israel, prompting her to confront her own beliefs about faith, religion, and identity.
