Synopsis

Franz Himpsl, an athlete, teacher, and trumpeter, leads the Unterbiberger Hofmusik, a family ensemble that fuses Bavarian folk music with jazz and global influences. Alongside his wife Irene and their sons Xaver, Ludwig, and Franz Jr., Himpsl promotes a motto of respect and authenticity. The family embarks on musical explorations across diverse locations, including Marrakesh, the pyramids of Egypt, and the Nile, while Himpsl also reconnects with his roots in the Bavarian Forest, known as the “Woid.”
