In suburban Hangzhou, Hanqi and her friends spend their nights contemplating the effects of urban change on their lives.
Synopsis
Hanqi and her friends wander through the suburban streets of Hangzhou at night. They navigate a concrete and neon-lit environment that changes daily. As they walk, they engage with the city's transformations, finding moments of beauty in a setting that many find unwelcoming. The film captures their experiences over time, set against a backdrop of ambient music reminiscent of Brian Eno and Philip Glass. The 40-minute documentary reflects on the relationship between space and time in urban life.
