Synopsis

In rural America, six communities face the prospect of becoming burial grounds for 77,000 tons of nuclear waste. As government assessments dictate the fate of these lands, residents respond with a history of resistance and stewardship. The film traverses the ecologies and personal stories tied to these candidate sites, revealing the deep connections people have to their environment.
