A group of women and a 10-year-old girl named Sorella are photographed undressing in freezing temperatures on a Baltic Sea beach in December 1941.
Synopsis
In December 1941, a 10-year-old girl named Sorella stands among women on a Baltic Sea beach, forced to remove their clothes in freezing weather. Eight decades later, filmmaker Peter Hegedüs uses immersive 360 technology to recreate the scene. He collaborates with Ethel Davis, a 92-year-old Jewish Australian whose family died in the massacre, and draws on the testimony of his own Jewish grandmother, a Holocaust survivor.
