Vong Phaophanit, an artist born in Laos and educated in France, has worked primarily in Britain since the early 1990s. His installation, Neon Rice Field, gained attention when he was nominated for the Turner Prize in 1993. The documentary also covers his collaboration with Claire Oboussier on Outhouse in Liverpool, a transparent glass house designed as a communal space for local residents.
