Synopsis
Boris Mirkin, a pioneer of Soviet programming, reflects on his life and work in the film. He began his career in cybernetics during a time when artificial intelligence studied villagers' daily behaviors. Fleeing to the West to escape rising anti-Semitism, he eventually returned to Russia. Mirkin shares personal anecdotes, including a fur cap from London and his collection of horse figurines, while representing a generation of Soviet scientists.
