Synopsis

Anatols Imermanis, a Latvian crime writer and poet, lived under Soviet occupation, where he achieved financial stability but yearned for freedom. Paris represented his lifelong dream, a place he could never visit. Instead, he crafted a personal version of the city through a bohemian lifestyle that defied Soviet norms. After his death, Imermanis's last wish was to be cremated, with his ashes scattered in the red-light districts of Paris, symbolizing his unfulfilled aspirations.
