The Kalaji family arrives in the United States as one of the last groups of Syrian refugees before the implementation of President Trump’s Muslim travel ban. Initially filled with excitement and hope, they soon confront the challenges of daily life in a new country. The film documents their struggle to adapt while reflecting on the loss of their home and the difficulties they face in building a future. Directed by Tanaz Eshaghian, "The Last Refugees" runs for 40 minutes.
