Synopsis

Radio operator Jim Smith flies with the 315th Bomb Wing over Japan four days after the atomic bombing of Nagasaki. In Tokyo, a group of Japanese officers stages a coup d'etat, aiming to extend the war. As the rebels seize the Imperial Palace and Emperor Hirohito, Smith and his fellow airmen face challenges in the sky. Their mission and the coup converge, contributing to the conclusion of World War II.
