Synopsis
Königsfeld, a small town in the Ukrainian Carpathian forest, was founded in 1775 by Habsburg Queen Maria Theresa. Once home to a thriving timber industry, it now faces economic isolation and the fading echoes of its German dialect. A devastating flood has cut off the community from the outside world, leaving behind factory ruins and potholes. The documentary captures the struggle of the remaining residents to preserve their cultural identity amid the decline of their historical legacy.
