Synopsis
Agafya Lykova has lived alone in the Siberian Taiga since her birth, using space-rocket debris to scare away bears. In "The Forest in Me," the filmmaker writes an intimate letter to her young child, connecting Lykova's isolated existence with a crew in Hawaii simulating life on Mars. The film juxtaposes the epic forests of Siberia with the black lava landscapes of Hawaii, presenting a vision of humanity and survival. Xylouris White provides an original score for the 68-minute documentary.
