Synopsis
Milana and her mother live in the woods of Kazakhstan, just outside a small city. They rely on selling scrap metal to survive, a stark contrast to the lives of those nearby. The film captures their daily routines and the challenges they face in an isolated environment. Directed by Madina Mustafina, the 58-minute documentary presents a raw look at life on the fringes of society in 2011, revealing the stark differences between their existence and that of the urban population.
