Synopsis

Mitya, a young Russian activist, navigates life in Tbilisi, Georgia, after fleeing his home country following the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Since the conflict began, over 30,000 Russians have sought refuge in Georgia, facing mixed reactions from locals. Many Georgians remember the ongoing Russian occupation of 20 percent of their territory. Mitya and his peers work to establish a new community while contending with the challenge of proving their status as victims of the Russian government rather than aggressors.
