Setico, a 12-year-old boy in Puerto Limon, Costa Rica, seeks his father just days before Christmas in 1948. His search leads him on a train ride through the banana enclave, where he learns about the tragic murder of six political prisoners at a site called Devil's Elbow. The film illustrates Setico's confrontation with a community still grappling with its painful history.
