Synopsis

Leopold Trepper, a former Red Army officer, finds himself in 1970s Poland. Once a hero of the anti-Nazi resistance, he faces renewed anti-Semitism. Stripped of his job, Trepper lives under constant surveillance. The oppressive atmosphere forces him to leave his home country, with little hope of returning. The film documents his struggles during this turbulent period.
