Synopsis

In early 2020, Kenya faced a severe locust invasion, the largest in 70 years, exacerbating the challenges posed by the coronavirus pandemic. Billions of locusts swarmed across the country and neighboring regions, devastating crops and threatening food security for millions. Agriculture is vital in Kenya, supporting over 80% of the population, with more than one million people already on the brink of hunger. Reporter Sahar Zand and Filmmaker Karim Shah documented the crisis, highlighting the urgent need for intervention and support.
