Synopsis
In the forests of Alaska, composer John Luther Adams contemplates the sounds of nature. Sounds Under the Sun visits various locations, including the skyscrapers of Tokyo and a war zone in Georgia, to feature contemporary classical music composers. Sir John Tavener from the UK, Leonid Desyatnikov from Russia, Giya Kancheli from Georgia, Dobrinka Tabakova from Bulgaria, and Ko Matsushita from Japan share their creative processes.
