Synopsis

Ninety-three-year-old Gudny resides in the Hrafnista nursing home in Hafnarfjördur, Iceland. She shares stories of her pet rat from eastern Iceland, paints, and sings in the choir. Gudny plans to take the lead in a theatrical sketch. The film also features Sigurdur Olafsson, who believes he is in Paradise, and Klara Tryggvason, who connects with her children abroad through mail and phone. Leifur Eiriksson turns bed-making into a physical exercise ritual. Gudny reflects on life and death, expressing certainty about her faith.
