Álfrún, Saga, and Hrefna of The Post Performance Blues Band confront their struggles in the Icelandic music scene. As they approach 40, they face low audience turnout and inadequate pay. They balance the demands of motherhood with their aspirations. To change their fortunes, they set a one-year deadline to attain pop stardom or disband. Álfrún Örnólfsdóttir, a band member and filmmaker, addresses issues of age and gender bias in the industry. The film records their pursuit of success and the challenges they encounter.
