Synopsis
In 1961, the village of Nabari in Japan becomes the site of a tragic event known as the 'Nabari Poison Wine' incident. During a social gathering, five people die after drinking poisoned wine. Masaru Okunishi, one of the attendees, is quickly named the primary suspect. Following intense police interrogation, he confesses but later claims the confession was coerced. Despite retracting his statement, Okunishi receives a death sentence, and his requests for a retrial are denied, raising concerns about the judicial process in Japan.
