Synopsis

Rio de Janeiro's slums serve as the backdrop for a montage of photographs from police archives and newspapers, depicting victims of violence. Traditional hymns performed by Agnaldo Timóteo and Ângela Maria accompany the images, creating a stark contrast between faith and suffering. The film references sixteenth-century mannerist art, prompting reflection on the physicality of death. Through its imagery and sound, it addresses the tragic realities of life and death in a vibrant urban setting.
