Synopsis

Sigurds operates a century-old lift in a large hospital in Riga, listening to the sounds of patients and staff as he moves between floors. The daily rhythm of hospital life unfolds around him, marked by the hum of activity and the urgency of medical care. In the adjacent shaft, workers install a new automatic lift, symbolizing a shift in technology and the passage of time within the institution.
