Rabindranath Tagore, an influential Indian polymath, significantly transformed Bengali literature and music, as well as Indian art. Born in 1861, Tagore was a poet, playwright, composer, philosopher, social reformer, and painter. His contributions earned him the distinction of being the first non-European and the first lyricist to receive the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1913. Released in 1961, during the centenary of his birth, this docudrama explores the profound impact of Tagore's work on culture and society in India and beyond.
