In the Hung Hom district of Hong Kong, the Kwun Yum temple draws many devotees during the Treasury Opening Festival. They seek financial improvement through rituals and offerings. Just across the street, a struggling block features recycling shops, illegal flea markets, and small restaurants. This vibrant area faces threats from rapid redevelopment.
