In Villa 31, playwright Marco Canale staged La velocidad de la luz (“The Speed of Light”) in 2017, bringing together a group of elderly women to reconnect with their traditions. They reflected on their ties to modern culture, religion, and politics. Three years later, Canale, along with Juan Fernández Gebauer and Ignacio Ragone, took this concept to Japan, creating a film that documents the parallels and contrasts of these cultural experiences.
