Synopsis
In Extremadura, filmmaker Alberto Martín Menacho returns to his childhood village, where he collaborates with local youths to tell their stories. The film contrasts the ancient presence of a thousand-year-old oak tree with the modernity of Tinder. Through these narratives, Menacho captures the tension between tradition and contemporary life in a community facing population decline and unemployment. This debut film reflects on the relationship between human experiences and the natural world in a place where the past and present coexist.
