Synopsis
Hany Abu-Assad returns to Nazareth, his hometown, in late 1999. The film captures the daily life of this city revered by Christians and Muslims. It unfolds amid riots over a contested square claimed by the municipality and the local Muslim community. Two gas station attendants, who have served Nazareth for decades, provide commentary on the social and political conditions affecting their lives and the community.
