Synopsis

Eight-year-old Natasha swims in a cool lake near her home in Russia. She enjoys playing with her brother, who often causes her trouble. The film captures her bright and talkative nature through a series of intimate moments, including scenes of her in a best dress with a ball. Close-ups of trees and birds by the lake frame the backdrop, while the spires of an Orthodox church rise in the distance. Natasha uses a microphone and a Super 8 camera to create this self-portrait.
