Synopsis

Masha Drokova, a teenager in Russia, rises through the ranks of the nationalistic youth movement Nashi. She embraces Vladimir Putin's vision, gaining a university scholarship and a spokesperson role. Her perspective shifts after she befriends liberal journalists, including Oleg Kashin, who criticize Nashi's methods. This friendship challenges Masha's beliefs and loyalty to the movement. The film documents her struggle with political identity and the violent tactics of the group she once admired.
