Synopsis
Nagele, once envisioned as a model village, has undergone significant changes since the release of A New Village on New Land in 1960. Co-directors Bert Haanstra and Joke Meerman return to the community to assess its evolution. They interview residents and local officials, revealing that homes are now considered too small and social cohesion is strained. Architects Umberto Barbieri and Ed Taverne reflect on the original ideals that have become outdated over the past fifty years.
