Synopsis

Barbara and Bertie live in a small flat in suburban London during a time when divorce carries a stigma and homosexuality is illegal. Their lives are marked by instability, moving frequently and facing financial ups and downs. As their relationship deteriorates, they experience divorce, remarriage, and violence. Their daughter, Daniels, grows frustrated with the lack of insight into their past. She agrees to travel to Spain with Bertie, who recalls it as the best time of his life.
