Under the direction of filmmaker Mike Tollin, the Morningside 5 aimed to defend their state championship title with all five starters returning for their senior year. The players aspired to reach the heights of basketball stardom, envisioning themselves as the next Michael Jordan. However, the season took unexpected turns.
