Synopsis
J. S. G. Boggs creates his own version of U.S. currency, which he calls "notes." Each note features the same design as official money, with his thumbprint on the back. In 1992, Boggs travels to various locations, attempting to sell these notes in exchange for goods and services. The film captures his interactions with merchants and the challenges he faces in a world that does not recognize his art as legal tender.
