Synopsis
Cita Sadeli, known as MISS CHELOVE, paints a mural in a new Indonesian coffeehouse in Washington D.C. As she works, she reflects on her life in the area and her Javanese heritage. Cita discusses her love for graffiti, which began in the 1980s when few women participated in the culture. She combines traditional Indonesian jewelry with modern youth culture in her art. Filmmaker Sara T. Gama captures Cita's story through her creative process in this 15-minute documentary.
