Synopsis
New York City, Mexico City, and São Paulo serve as backdrops for the stories of three Latina artists in Street Heroines. Each artist shares her experiences in the male-dominated fields of graffiti and street art. They discuss their challenges and achievements while establishing their identities. The film presents the vibrant street art scenes of these cities and addresses issues of gender and representation in the art world. Directed by Alexandra Henry, the documentary runs for 72 minutes and was released in 2021.
