Synopsis

In 1944, as the German army retreated from Latvia at the end of the Second World War, 700 boxes of Latvian art treasures were at risk of being lost. Mērija Grīnberga, a young museum volunteer, took it upon herself to accompany the train transporting these cultural artifacts back to Riga. Despite her efforts to safeguard Latvia's artistic heritage, Grīnberga faced suspicion and was dismissed from her museum position as a result of her actions during this tumultuous period.
