Synopsis

George Hunt and Molly Warner study seagulls on California’s Channel Islands in 1972. They find a surprising number of nesting pairs are female. Their research on these "lesbian seagulls" ignites strong reactions across the country. The discovery coincides with the rising LGBTQ+ rights movement. It also creates tension in Hunt and Warner's own marriage. Directed by Angel Morris, Love Birds runs for 28 minutes.
