In the Voronezh steppes, peasant farms have disappeared, replaced by large holdings and firms. Collective farms no longer exist. In the summer of 2015, tractor drivers work hard to make a living. News reports on the radio bring updates from the nearby Donbass, where battles rage. Despite the changes around them, life continues in the region from early spring to late autumn. The film captures this summer existence amid social and economic shifts.
