Letter to Theo

Synopsis

Théo Angelopoulos, a prominent Greek filmmaker, died on January 24, 2012, after being struck by a motorbike on the set of his unfinished film, which addressed the victims of the Greek financial crisis. The ongoing crisis has exacerbated the plight of refugees trapped in Greece due to border closures. Amidst this turmoil, grassroots movements are emerging to support those at risk of marginalization. Ironically, budget cuts led to the breakdown of the ambulance that was meant to assist Angelopoulos, highlighting the dire consequences of the crisis he sought to portray.
