Synopsis
Yann, Pierre, Bernard, and Jacques share their experiences as homosexuals in France during the interwar period. They recount their lives in a society that largely rejected them. Each story reveals struggles for recognition and the pursuit of personal freedom. Sébastien Lifshitz spent nearly a year and a half interviewing about 70 candidates before selecting 10 for the film. Les Invisibles received several awards, including the César for best documentary film in 2013.
