Synopsis
Ieva Epnere arrived in Laidi Manor, southwestern Latvia, in autumn 2021 for a creative residency. Her goal was to learn about the local history and gather inspiration for new artwork. During her stay, she collaborated with the school's theatre group and choreographer Elīna Gediņa to create a movement performance titled Laidu leģendas (Tales of Laidi). As Epnere documented the school's final year, she faced the news of its impending closure by the Kuldīga County Council, intertwining everyday school life with preparations for a farewell reunion.
